Prof. Dr. Kazuyuki Ishibashi

Prof. Dr. Kazuyuki Ishibashi obtained his MD in 1991 and PhD in Cardiovascular Surgery in 1995 from Iwate Medical University School of Medicine, Japan. He received advanced training at St. Thomas' Hospital, King's College London in 2002. He is a certified Proctor surgeon for implantable Left Ventricular Assist Devices and supervising surgeon for thoracic and abdominal aorta procedures under the Japanese Committee for Stent-graft Management. He is also a Senior Member of the Japanese Society of Surgery and the Japanese Society of Cardiovascular Surgery. Previously, he served as Senior Lecturer at Akita University and Toho University and as Visiting Professor at Kitasato University. Currently, Prof. Dr. Kazuyuki Ishibashi is the Hospital Director and Chief Consultant in the Cardiovascular Surgery Department at SHIP International Hospital. With over 30 years of experience, he specializes in complex procedures including CABG (off-pump and on-pump), valve repair and replacement, thoracic and abdominal aortic repair, total arch replacement, aortic stent grafting (TAA & AAA), congenital heart surgeries, and implantable left ventricular assist devices. His expertise ensures advanced cardiac surgical care for both adult and pediatric patients.
