Dr. Tarana Tabashum

Dr. Tarana Tabashum currently serves as a Senior Consultant of the Laboratory Medicine Department at SHIP International Hospital. She completed her MBBS from Rangpur Medical College and earned her MD in Pathology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. She also completed her postgraduate course in Pathology from BSMMU. Before joining SHIP International Hospital, Dr. Tarana Tabashum worked in many reputed institutions in different positions, gaining extensive professional experience. Dr. Tarana Tabashum is an active contributor to the field of Laboratory Medicine. She is an expert in USG and CT-guided FNAC, with a special interest in core needle biopsy of the breast and other organs. She also has expertise in molecular pathology, including IHC (Immunohistochemistry) and FISH (Fluorescence in situ hybridization). She has contributed to many national and international publications. Her dedication to advancing medical knowledge and delivering high-quality care highlights her commitment to both the medical community and patient well-being.
