Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam is a highly experienced Hepatologist in Bangladesh with over 25 years of clinical expertise.
He completed his MBBS from MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet, and obtained his MD in Hepatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
He is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Hepatology at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College & Hospital.
He has worked in several renowned government institutions, including Dhaka Medical College, Chattogram Medical College, Cox’s Bazar Medical College, and MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
He specializes in managing liver and gastrointestinal diseases such as hepatitis B & C, fatty liver disease, liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
He is skilled in advanced procedures, including Upper GI Endoscopy, ERCP, TACE, TJLB, HVPG measurement, and various USG - guided interventions.
He has strong expertise in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures and managing complex liver cases.
He is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and has several national and international publications.
He regularly participates in seminars and training programs and is known for his patient-centered approach and dedication to improving liver care in Bangladesh.
