Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam

Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam has completed his MBBS degree from MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet and obtained his MD (Hepatology) from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). During his career, he has accumulated more than 25+ years of clinical expertise in various renowned government institutions, including Dhaka Medical College, Chattogram Medical College, Cox’s Bazar Medical College, and MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. Currently, he is serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Hepatology at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College & Hospital.

He helps patients in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a vast variety of liver and gastrointestinal clinical conditions, including hepatitis B & C, fatty liver disease, liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer). He is highly skilled in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including Upper GI Endoscopy, ERCP, TACE, TJLB, HVPG measurement, and various ultrasound-guided interventions. Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and has authored several national and international publications related to hepatology.
