Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raisul Islam

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raisul Islam is a renowned General & Laparoscopic Surgeon. He completed his MBBS degree in 2013 from Dhaka University and earned his MS in General Surgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (ex-PG hospital). He has undergone training in General Surgery from BSMMU, Dhaka Medical College, and Sir Salimullah Medical College, and received fellowship training in minimal invasive surgery from India. During his 8-year career, he has worked in various organizations in different positions and is currently a Guest Consultant in the Department of General Surgery at SHIP International Hospital. Dr. Raisul Islam regularly performs all kinds of laparoscopic and conventional surgeries with a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, including appendectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy, sleeve gastrectomy, adrenalectomy, colectomy, and cholecystectomy. He has expertise in various types of hernia surgery via laparoscopic approach, such as inguinal, femoral, ventral, umbilical, paraumbilical, incisional, and epigastric hernias. His areas of expertise also include GI surgery, colorectal surgery, breast surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and pancreatic surgery, providing comprehensive care in both elective and complex surgical procedures.
