Dr. Nagib Mahbub

Dr. Nagib Mahbub completed his MBBS from Moulana Bhasani Medical College Hospital in 2007 and obtained a Diploma in Blood Serology and Transfusion Medicine from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Currently, he is working as a Specialist in the Department of Transfusion Medicine at SHIP International Hospital. Before joining SHIP, he gained experience working in various private hospitals in different positions, developing a strong professional foundation in clinical transfusion services. Dr. Nagib Mahbub specializes in the clinical application of transfusion medicine, including platelet cross-matching, Coombs test (direct & indirect), Rh antibody detection and titre test, Du test, cross-match at room temperature and at 37°C, ICT blood crossmatch at 37°C with AHG, and blood component preparation. He is also experienced in quality control of all blood bank parameters, performing therapeutic plasma exchange, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) preparation, and PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) preparation. His diverse professional background equips him to deliver high-quality transfusion and patient care services across different healthcare settings.
