Dr. Md. Mahbubul Alam completed his MBBS degree in 2001. He began his medical career as a Medical Officer at a rural hospital, where he served for 2 years.
He received initial training in General Surgery and Casualty at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, followed by specialized orthopedic training from Dhaka Medical College (DMCH), Bangladesh Medical University (formerly PG Hospital), and the National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR – formerly Pongu Hospital).
In 2012, he achieved the prestigious Fellowship FCPS (Orthopaedics and Traumatology) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).
Following his FCPS, he worked as a Registrar in Orthopedics and Trauma at Apollo Hospitals (now Evercare Hospital), Dhaka. During this time, he pursued advanced training in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty at Seoul National University and Konkuk University, South Korea.
Dr. Alam has also served as a faculty member at various medical colleges, including Enam Medical College, where he held the position of Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics. He has over 12 years of experience in the field of Orthopedic Surgery.
His areas of expertise include trauma and accident-related injuries, soft tissue and bone fractures, industrial and machinery injuries, and sports-related surgeries such as Arthroscopic ACL, PCL, and meniscus procedures.
He is proficient in Geriatric Orthopedics, including treatment of osteoporotic fractures, vertebral and neck femur fractures, trochanteric and hand fractures. He is also an experienced surgeon in hip and knee replacement.
He actively participates in both national and international orthopedic conferences and workshops to stay updated with the latest surgical procedures and treatment innovations. He is a member of Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society, Bangladesh Arthroplasty Society (BAS), and a lifetime member of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS)
