Education

Dr. Md. Roushan Ali graduated in 1981 from Rangpur Medical College with distinction in all professional examinations. He obtained Membership (MCPS) in Family Medicine in 1994 & Fellowship (FCPS) in Internal Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS)in 1998. He also did his Diploma in Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases (DTCD) from Dhaka University in 1996. He did his MD (Cardiology) in 2001 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He awarded FRCP by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK in 2007. He also awarded FACP & FACC by the American College of Physicians & American College of Cardiology in 2008 & 2009 respectively. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology (MESC) since 2010.

He is a good organizer and researcher and has contributed to the improvement of both undergraduate and postgraduate education in Bangladesh. He was an examiner of both undergraduate and post-graduate examinations (MCPS, DTCD, FCPS Medicine). He is active in organizing various scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars and has presented different scientific papers in seminars. He has a keen interest in medical research and has more than 45 publications in different peer-reviewed Medical Journals. He is a contributing author of Rashid, Khabir, Haider’s Text Book of Community Medicine and Public Health. He was an Editor of The Journal of the Medical College for Women & Hospital. Presently, he is working as a Professor & Head, Department of Medicine & Cardiology in the Ship International Hospital, Uttara, Dhaka.
