Dr. Ismat Jahan, MBBS, FCPS is a graduate from Ibrahim Medical College in 2009. She obtained Fellowship (FCPS) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) in 2019. Meanwhile, she also did Advanced Diploma in medical ultrasound from BITBIR Dhaka. She also trained in the certified course in diabetology. She worked in BIRDEM GENERAL Hospital for 6 years.
She is skilled in the management of high-risk pregnancies like Diabetic pregnancies with complications, pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, thyroid disorder & other complicated pregnancies. She is strongly motivated in ensuring normal delivery as well as painless delivery experience for pregnant women and avoiding the unnecessary caesarian section. She is regularly doing routine & complicated caesarian sections, gynaecological operations like hysterectomy, myomectomy laparotomy, ovarian cystectomy, etc. She is successfully managing infertility patients as well. She is a life member of obstetrical & gracelogical society of Bangladesh. She has a keen interest in medical research and has publications both national & international peer-reviewed Medical Journals. Presently, she is working as a specialist, Obs & Gynae in Ship International Hospital, Uttara, Dhaka.
